I was born in Istanbul in 1967. I finished my high school education in Kadıköy Anatolian High School and gratuated from Istanbul University School of Medicine in 1991. I have completed my residency in ophtalmology in Haydarpasa Numune Hospital.

In 1995 I finished my fellowship in Pediatric Ophtalmology in Moorfields Eye Hospital Pediatric Ophtalmology and Strabismus Clinic.

I worked as a director of the Strabismus Clinic of Haydarpasa Numune Hospital between 1996 – 2000. In the same time period I also worked in Fundus Eye Clinic (Special Ophtalmology Clinic).

I took care of Pediatric Ophtalmology and Strabismus patients in Anvers New Vision Eye Clinic in Belguim between 2003 – 2005.

I worked in Dünya Göz Hastanesi Altunizade Hospıtal and as the director of the Strabismus Clinic in Anatolian side of Istanbul between 2006 – 2017.

I have been taking care of Pediatric Ophtalmology and Strabismus patients in Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital since May 2017.

I am married with 2 children (one boy and a girl). I am a fluent English speaker and can speak French and Dutch in a moderate level.
